Impartial Peer Reviews
The editor must ensure that the peer review process is fair, impartial, and timely. Research articles should generally be reviewed by at least two external and independent reviewers, and when necessary, the Editor should seek additional opinions.
The Editor must select reviewers with appropriate expertise in the relevant field, considering the need for adequate, inclusive, and diverse representation.
The Editor must follow best practices to avoid selecting fraudulent reviewers. The Editor should review all disclosures of potential conflicts of interest and suggestions for self-citation made by the reviewers to determine if there is any potential for bias.
