On Citations

Regarding citations, the following conditions should be adhered to during writing (see examples below):

• For the beginning and within the text (1 author): Example: Candeias (2016) commented on mathematical morphology in Remote Sensing.

• For the beginning and within the text (2 authors): Example: Silva and Candeias (2016) evaluated the SRTM products.

• For the beginning and within the text (3 authors): Example: Guerra, Keles, and Azevedo (2017) worked with agroecology in indigenous communities.

• For the beginning and within the text (more than 3 authors): Example: Gomes et al. (2015) produced similar material in the Caatinga environment.

• For the end of sentences (1 author): Example: (Candeias, 2016).

• For the end of sentences (2 authors): Example: (Silva; Candeias, 2016) or (Silva & Candeias, 2016).

• For the end of sentences (3 authors): Example: (Guerra, Keles e Azevedo, 2017) or (Guerra, Keles & Azevedo, 2017).

• For the end of sentences (more than 3 authors): Example: (Guerra et al., 2014).

Direct quotes longer than two lines must follow these rules for spacing and font size: indentation of 4 cm, Times New Roman font, size 9.
