About Equations

Equations and formulas should be typed using MathType or the "Insert Equation" tool in your word processor.

To use MathType, click on Example Formula 1 (Equation 1) in the template provided in the Author Guidelines and edit it. If additional MathType formulas are needed, copy and paste the example and edit the formula as required.

For the "Insert Equation" tool, use Example Equation 2 (Equation 2) in the template provided in the Author Guidelines and proceed with the desired formatting for your research.

Each equation should be numbered consecutively using Arabic numerals in parentheses, aligned to the right margin (similar to tables and figures, equations must also be referenced in the main text). They should also be separated from the surrounding text by a space, as illustrated in the provided examples (Equations 1, 2).

Submit mathematical equations as editable text rather than images. Present simple formulas inline with the regular text whenever possible, using a solidus (/) for small fractional terms, e.g., X/Y.

Variables should generally be presented in italics. Exponential terms are often more conveniently written using "exp." Number all equations consecutively if displayed separately from the text and explicitly mentioned.
